The Magic Hours

Recent works by Loriann Signori

and New Work by Gallery Artists

Also showing this month: TWO FRIENDS

with grace To view Loriann Signori’s work is to spend a quiet moment in a serene place where life’s cares melt away. Signori is described as a poetic realist. Her work is essentially an emotional interpretation of time and place. While pieces in Signori’s new body of work vary in size and medium, one thing is the same, it is all painted in the magic hours of dawn and dusk. The landscapes, luscious and luminous with evocative atmospheric effects, suggest misty lands and glowing twilights. The enveloping atmosphere is palpable . Like a whisper, this work focuses on subtly nuanced color, layered thinly, to create depth. Signori downplays the significance of subject matter by giving the paintings names that favor psychological experiences over reality, creating a dreamy, pensive mood. They make the viewer feel as if under a spell.
