A home needs more than walls. It needs warmth, character, and art. Ceramic art brings beauty to daily life, enhancing our experiences and bridges the gap between function and artistry.
Gathering friends around a table with handmade tableware adds depth to the meal ritual. Each piece carries the mark of its maker, inviting conversations, connections, and builds shared memories.
Ceramics also weave nature into our homes. A simple vase cradling fresh-cut flowers, or a carefully arranged ikebana composition, brings harmony and balance - principles shared between pottery and floral art.
I make functional pottery inspired by nature - forms and colors that echo weathered stone surfaces, clear sky, the curve of a fruit, or a leaf pattern.
Everything I make is wheel-thrown and altered. Most pieces are fired in my home studio’s electric kiln. A select few go into a wood kiln, where fire and ash leave unpredictable marks, transforming raw clay into something lasting.
Handmade ceramics do more than serve a purpose. They carry the touch of their maker and the story of their making. Nature reminds us that all beauty is fleeting, but potters know that fire has the power to capture and suspend a moment in time.
